Aberdalgie Parish, Perthshire, Scotland. " Aberdalgie Parish, west of Bridge of Earn, Perthshire. It has a post office under Perth. Acres, 4165. Real property in 1880-81, £4657. Pop. 297. The surface rises from the Earn to the northern boundary, presents a luxurious appearance, and commands picturesque views. The chief feature is Duplin Castle, the seat of the Earl of Kinnoul. The public school has about thirty eight scholars." The Gazetteer of Scotland, 1882.

Aberdalgie Church, Perthshire, Scotland, benefited from the interest of the Dewar family who became lairds of Dupplin in 1911. Under the patronage of John Dewar, first Baron Forteviot of Dupplin, the prominent Scottish architect, Sir Robert Lorimer, remodelled the interior in 1929. The Dewar Gravestones are located behind the church.
